Review: Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters

Last Friday I went to see the new movie Vampire Academy. If you read my last post you'll know how excited I was to watch this movie. The entire time I was fangirling like crazy.... I'm fangirling right now just from thinking about it!
First of all, the cast is AMAZING!!! I love every single one of them! When I first saw the trailer, I wasn't so sure if I'd like the cast or not. Like I said in my last post, I approve of Zoey Deutch and Lucy Fry, I wasn't so sure about the rest. But I definitely approve, 200%. They weren't exactly how I saw the characters in my head, but it's hard to pinpoint a character exactly, not to mention they're all different in everyone's head.
I am crushing on Dominic Sherwood and Cameron Monaghan right now, it's not even funny. I wasn't so sure about Dom at first since I didn't exactly picture Christian like that, but he's my new Christian. Not to mention his eyes!! FYI, they're ice blue, but on of them is brown on the bottom... they're wicked!! He's so cute.. a;dklfja;dlkfj;dkf;.
Next is Cameron, he wasn't really in the trailer, but when I saw him on screen... MASON!!!! *cue the tears* If you've read Frostbite, you'll know why... but oh my gawd, he is the perfect Mason. I absolutely love Mason and Rose in the movie... that cute little scene where they hug to avoid looking suspicious and at the end of the dance part when Rose gives Mason a kiss on the cheek... oh, the feels
I'll stop with the characters right now.... the cast looks amazing on big screen and I think they all did a brilliant job portraying their characters.
On to the actual movie....
Like I said in my previous post, this isn't a typical vampire movie. Yes, they're vampires, so it is a vampire movie.... but there's a lot of emphasis on friendship, not just romance. There is some romance as well, don't worry, between Dimitri and Rose, and Lissa and Christian. They're also in high school, so there's going to be some high school drama like bullying and back stabbing, etc. There's also a lot of action in this movie, seeing as the dhampirs are training and fighting Strigoi.
I think this movie could be a success and a second movies HAS to come out, I'm literally dying right now, I need more Mason and Christian, like right now. If Twilight was a success, this definitely can be one too, since it's a million times better than Twilight (sorry Twilight fans...)
I really hope some of you will consider watching, or even watch, the movie. I can guarantee that you will love it. Don't worry if you haven't read the book because in the beginning Rose explains all the terms and background.
Here's a pretty accurate trailer of the movies, it doesn't just focus on the humor of the movie.

Gray Moon Rising

ISBN: 1937733203
 Pages: 209
Appearance:
 12207397
Summary:
It’s been almost a year since Rylie Gresham was bitten by a werewolf on Gray Mountain. Now something is beckoning her back to the place she was attacked, along with every other werewolf in the world. But they aren’t the only ones heeding the call. A group of hunters notices them gathering and sees it as their chance to wipe out the entire species.
Seth is about to graduate high school when he learns of the final hunt. He secretly plans to save Rylie and his werewolf brother even though he has to play along with the hunters to do it. But Rylie doesn’t want to be saved. She’s already decided to solve her problems with a silver bullet if answers aren’t waiting on Gray Mountain.
One way or another, everything is about to end—whether it means Rylie’s liberation or the end of her life…

Hey guys! Welcome to the last review for the last book in S.M. Reine's Seasons of the Moon Quartet! If you haven't checked out the previous three reviews, I will link them at the end of the post! Without further ado, let's get into it!

Out of all the previous books, this one is definitely the most action packed. Again, it starts up a couple months after Long Night Moon ended and the connection was super smooth. Just a heads up, I might unintentionally spoil a bit of Book 3's ending...Anyway, Rylie now lives at a WW (werewolf) safehouse with Bekah, Levi, and Seth's brother and is learning to control her inner wolf. After nearly ---- her aunt and almost losing control, she wants to distant herself as much as possible away from people. Seth takes care of her aunt and writes every week to her, but she can't get herself to write back. Not after what happened.

All the WW start getting these crazy dreams about traveling to Gray Mountain for some ritual and Bekah is the first to actually get up and go which freaks Levi out. A search party is organized to bring her back and Rylie and Abel (Seth's bro) set out together. They head towards the camp where Rylie was bitten and run into some other WW who claim to have been plagued by similar dreams. They also run into some hunters, including Eleanor: Seth and Abel's evil momma.

I'll end the summarizing here to avoid spoilers. In short, WWs are being called to Gray Mountain because the WW gods, in an attempt to save the dying population, are planning to choose an Alpha to reign over the remaining wolves. The hunters see this as their opportunity to exterminate their enemies once and for all and Eleanor is right up in front, aiming to destroy Rylie for leading Seth down the "wrong" path. So there's a ton of action there.

Rylie also comes to terms with herself big time in this book. After what happened in the last book, like I said before, she's trying to distance herself to protect others. In this book, she tries to reestablish the broken relationships and find confidence in herself as a wolf.

I would highly recommend this book, the whole series in fact. The entire series is really great as a WW story because it's different than other WW books that I've read before. It's also completely free as of now on Amazon so that's great! The beginning does start off slow, but it picks up and ends with a great finale!! So check it out and let me know what you all think!!

Secrets of Midnight

ASIN: B004BDP91C
Pages: 389
Appearance:
18172009

Summary:
If Lord Donovan Trent had his way, he would spend his days carelessly wooing the women of London society. Instead, he found himself banished to the English countryside of Cornwall, forced by the decrees of his father’s will to run his family’s tin mines and find a country bride. The last thing the handsome lord needed was a local lass sticking her nose into his affairs, but that seemed to be exactly what Corisande Easton had in mind.
Corie had spent her whole life struggling to help those less fortunate than herself. When she heard that Lord Donovan had arrived in Cornwall, she seized the opportunity to confront him about his family’s mistreatment of the overworked tinners. Donovan and Corie soon found their tempers flaring while fighting to deny their fiery passions—until a secret business arrangement forced them into each other’s arms.

Hey guys! Okay, first off, please do not I repeat DO NOT get freaked out about the cover. Seriously, take a deep breath and calm down. Yes, it's a bit awkward for us teenagers, but I promise you, it is NOT THAT BAD so please don't judge.

Remember how I said I judge book by the cover? Yeah, I was so ready to judge this book as being a heated romance that wasn't really worth my time. I have read historical romances with revealing covers before so this is no different in my point of view. I don't think I've actually reviewed a historical romance with a revealing cover so this is definitely a first. I will say this, for a quite "scandalous" cover, there isn't much scandal the smex perspective at all.

My main reason of reviewing this book is because of the characters. Before I get into detail about them, I just want to say that Miriam Minger did an amazing job creating the characters.

Okay, first Corisande Easton. Such a cool name! Definitely making its way on my list of top names to name my future baby. You didn't need to know that. Anyway, she's a definite firecracker and it's hard not to love her. Some people thought of her constant bickering with Donovan annoying, but I thoroughly enjoyed their arguments as it was very entertaining and funny. She's very passionate about what she does and is willing to go to lengths to protect and care for those she loves. That alone wins her some major brownie points. Again, she's a bit of a firecracker, but that just added a lot of life and energy to the story.

Donovan Trent has vowed never to be like greedy father and is committed to live a life alone. When he journeys into the countryside to fulfill his father's will, he never expected to fall in love with the town parish's oldest daughter. His original intent was to marry her until he got his inheritance and then leave, but as we all know, things just don't happen like that. While the previous sentence portrays him as a total douche, Don is actually very far from one. He needs the money not because he has gambled them away, but because he needs to do something very important and special, but it is for a good reason. When Don and Corie first meet it's like instant fireworks. The two are so oppositely different that there are legit sparks coming from them. Of course, who wouldn't fall in love with the lovely Corisande which is exactly what happened.

The storyline was amazing. Like most historical romances there is a factor of danger that spices up the entire story. Someone wants Corie and her family dead and their attacks are getting pretty darn close and personal. Reading this story sent me back to the days when I was obsessed (still am) with Julie Garwood's amazing historical romances and I have to say it was a great trip down book memory lane.

Like I said before, the scandalous cover has very little to do with actual story. There is very very little smex in the story other than the usual "bedding" which does not go into a whole lot of detail. So don't worry about getting violated by reading this, I definitely recommend it because the characters are amazing and it's very well written!

That is it for my review, hoped you guys liked it and I will see you all in my next post which I believe is tomorrow :)

Winter Wonderland Book Tag

Hey guys! There is currently about 6-8 inches of snow outside right now. Amidst the crazy stress of midterm week, I decided to give myself a little way to de-stress so I thought I'd do this little tag! I found it on Basically Bookish's Blog/Wordpress while browsing for book blogger tags and stumbled across this: The Winter Wonderland Book Tag. Hey it's cold, there's snow outside, let's do this!

1)    What book is so happy and sweet that it warms your heart?
I am going to say right off that bat: A Different Blue by Amy Harmon. I finished this book last month and it is possibly the best book I have read that has completely blown my mind. I reference this book so much to my friends and I have guiltily spoiled it for them as well. The romance, friendship, and overall journey of Blue is so warm and touching it makes me feel all fuzzy inside.
17443673

2)    What is your favourite book with a white cover?
I actually have 2. The first one is Claire de Lune by Christine Johnson which has a really haunting dark blue cover, but there is also an edition out there with a pretty simple and enchanting white cover. My second option has the word "white" in it, but the cover itself is not exactly white and that is the lovely Woman in White by Wilkie Collins. I was fortunate enough to watch the theater version while it was still out and while it wasn't the best in stagecraft, the music, acting, storyline was amazing. The book proved to be awesome as well and is probably one of my favorite "classics."
8796742 227524

3)    You’re sitting in a nice comfy chair wearing a onesie with a lovely, warm hot chocolate. What monster read are you reading?
I need a onesie in my life...but other than that, I would either attack The Game of Thrones by George RR. Martin because that is one heck of a book or Inheritance by Christopher Paolini which is the last book of the Inheritance (Eragon) series and the only book that I have yet to read. I loved Eragon and Eldest and while Brisingr wasn't the best, I am still so excited to read it. So give me that book any day with some hot chocolate!
13496 7664041

4)    It’s started snowing, so you decide to have a snowball fight. Which fictional character would you love to have a snowball fight with?
Wow, that is actually really hard. Um, I would either go with Grace Anderson from How I Lost You by Janet Gurtler because she's is a trained paintballer so that would definitely be interesting (I would so lose) or the sisters from Entwined by Heather Dixon because there are twelve of them so that is definitely going to fun.
14950168 8428195

5)    Sadly, your fire is beginning to go out. Out of which book would you tear the last few chapters to throw into the fire?
This is really really hard. I don't often find stories that have endings that I don't like. I think I would choose Captured by Erica Stevens. I absolutely loved the book and I know from reading the blurbs of the books on the rest of the series that everything turns out fine, but the ending was such a cliffhanger it was not okay in my point of view. The last sentence pretty much tore my heart out and smashed it into pieces and left me crying with despair. If we could just get rid of those last few pages and make it a little less heart wrenching, but still have the same intent, my heart would be grateful.
15059301

6)    What book is so close to your heart that you would gift it to someone at Christmas who hasn’t read before but wants to get into reading?
This is really simple, I would choose BOTH books in the Company of Angels series by Stephanie Chong: Where Demons Fear to Tread and The Demoness of Waking Dreams. I flat out loved both books and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for some nice romance with touching hidden messages that will really make an impact on you. This isn't part of the question but I would definitely gift it to Claudz because she hasn't had the time to read anything in a while and I think it would be an amazing icebreaker back into the world of books. <3
10583186 13377935

So that is it for my tag, I hoped you guys liked it. I would definitely recommend all the books I have listed so be sure to check them out! That is it for this post, my brain feels a lot lighter and less stressed! :) I will talk to you guys in my next update which I believe is tomorrow with the great finale review of the last book in S.M. Reine's Seasons of the Moon Quartet! So see you then!

Makeup Haul

Hey! So my last makeup haul post was last year in November. Sorry to keep you waiting, don't worry, I'll make it up to you in this post!!

1. NYC Liquid Lipshine in 580 Rivington Rose -  this is similar to my other NYC Liquid Lipshine products and Riv has this one as well! It's like my Midtown Mulberry but a bit lighter and sparkle-yer (idk, is that how you spell it??? I'm not sure how much it was, I think I lost the receipt, sorry :( but it should be around the price of the other NYC products
I got this picture off google, it's a bit lighter than it look in this picture.
it's a really nice color and it smells really nice as well! like vanilla cupcakes, yum!!

2. Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in 250 Raisin Rage ($7.99)
Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss, Raisin Rage 250I got this during my search for the perfect burgundy lipcolor. It's not as dark as it look in this picture, but it's still a nice color! It sorta look like a cranberry juice kind of color.

Those 2 I got from CVS a while ago on a shopping trip with Riv.

3. Mabelline SuperStay 24 2-step lip color in 2 different colors:
010 Reliable Raspberry and 015 All Day Cherry
I got these at Walmart for $7 or $8. I saw these in a makeup haul video I was watching on youtube. I've seen really good reviews for these, about how they stay on really well, even when you eat.
Maybelline® Super Stay 24™ 2-Step Lipcolor - 0.14 oz  This color is All Day Cherry, I couldn't find one for Reliable Raspberry, but it's like a dark pink.
basically, you apply the color, let it dry, then apply the lip balm that comes with it. I've had a hard time putting these on and making them stay. The trick is to let the coats dry before putting on the lip balm or another coat.

The rest of these I got from Walgreens on 2 different shopping trips
4. Revlon Nearly Naked Liquid Makeup in 160 Fresh Beige ($9.79)
Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup SPF 20This is the first foundation and only foundation I have. My skin tone is pretty even, so I don't really need it, this is more for like emergency days when I look horrible.
It's really light and easy to blend, and it also has an SPF of 20. This matches my skin tone almost perfectly. Only problem I had with this one was at the end of the day, my T zone starts getting oily and shiny. So remember to apply powder once in a while. Speaking of powder.....

5. Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder in 030 Medium ($9.49)
Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed PowderThis helps set in foundation or concealer really well and prevents my face from looking really oily/shiny. It comes with that little thing you can use to apply it with, but I prefer using bushes....

6. Revlon Powder Brush ($10.49)
Revlon Powder BrushThis is a nice fluffy brush that makes applying powder really easy and fun.

7. Wet n Wild ColorIcon eyeliner in 656A White ($0.99)
Wet n Wild Color Icon Liner Color Icon Eyeliner Pencil Olive 663CLooks like this but white. It's like half a foot long.....I haven't really tried it yet, but I'm planning on using it to line my waterline and hopefully make my eyes look bigger.

8. essie Nail lacquer in 3 colors ($8.50 each)
475 a list, 736 beach bum blu, and 748 naughty nautical
essie Nail Coloressie Nail Colorthis is naughty nautical and a list, beach bum blu is a medium metallicy blue. Yeah, I went on an essie splurge.. I can't wait to use them!! They better be worth the price though.....

So that concludes my makeup haul! I hope you guys enjoyed it!!

Waiting on Wednesday: Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters

Here's my first post in 2014!! Wow it's been a while but I honestly can't wait for this movie to come out! 2 more days!! This movie is based on a series called Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead and it's one of my favorite series of all time.

So basically this is another vampire movie, but before you roll your eyes and groan, it's not the typical vampire romance movie where the girl falls in love with the vampire and turns into a vampire for him.
This one is different. The plot centers around Rose and her best friend Lissa. Rose is half vampire, half human, they're called dhampires. Lissa is a good vampire, they're called Moroi, who co-exist peacefully with humans and can manipulate the four elements, water, earth, air, fire. She not just any Moroi, she's a royal Moroi, the last of her family. There are also bad vampires called Strigoi who live of Moroi blood. Some dhampires, like Rose, train from a young age to become Guardians, they protect Moroi and kill Strigoi. Two years ago, Rose and Lissa ran away from school, St. Vladimir's Academy, because they didn't feel safe there. Now, they're being forced to return.Rose will continue her training under the instruction of Dimitri Belikov, whom she falls in love with. Even with Guardians on guard, St. Vladimir's isn't safe, Rose must do all that she can to protect Lissa.
The cast includes Zoey Deutch as Rose, Lucy Fry as Lissa, and Danila Kozlovsky as Dimitri. I completely approve of the cast! Zoey makes a fabulous Rose and Lucy can pass as Lissa.

I read this book a while ago in elementary school and fell in love with it!! (Don't worry, it's not a kiddy book) There are 6 books in this series and they're all amazing!! I would definitely recommend reading them! Riv is going to read them and write a book review on them (right Riv?). I think she already did one on the comic book of the first book.

I've been waiting for years for this movie to come out and it's almost here!!! I'm going to treat myself to this movie as an after-midterms celebration!! I honestly cannot wait to see it!!

I hope this was an okay post, my brain is literally fried from midterms right now....
I'll try and do a makeup haul post soon (I got a lot!!)

Promises

ISBN:1468006797
Pages: 251
Appearance:
13182274

Summary:
Sometimes following your heart can end up destroying the ones you love. When seventeen-year-old Eviana Dumahl is faced with the responsibility of an arranged marriage and clan leadership, she is forced to choose between the life required of a mermaid and one of a teenage girl simply infatuated with the wrong guy. Kain, her devoted fiance, would make a wonderful husband except that she's been in love with Brendan, a shape-shifting selkie, ever since they were kids. Choosing to abandon her family, her clan, and her life with Kain will have dire consequences far beyond anything she could have imagined. A war is brewing amongst the clans and Eviana unwittingly becomes a pawn in the intricate schemes of a twisted mastermind. With Brendan's life on the line, she has no choice but to involve those she once considered friends. Amidst encountering senseless tragedies and immense loss, Eviana discovers that she is more valuable as a clan leader than anyone ever suspected. Her survival is not only dependent upon the loyalty of her friends, but also on her acceptance of a life she so adamantly tried to escape. Promises is the first book of The Syrenka Series trilogy following Eviana and her friends through the perils of growing up in a discrete world that inherently threatens human society.

Hey guys! Welcome back to the blog! First review for the month of February woot woot! Anyway, there's not much to be said, so let's get into the review!

First off, this was a great combination of mermaid and underwater creature story. I haven't read a ton of books on selkies and I confess to having a small addiction to them. Come on! Seals are so cute! Anyway, romance between a mermaid and selkie is strictly forbidden by underwater law which only spices up the romantic aspect of the story even more. Since we're on the topic of romance, Brendan is definitely a girl's dream guy, understanding, loving, and not that bad looking either. Eviana is also pretty awesome because she's not afraid to take control of her life and make her own decisions. I'm not saying that I am advocating rebelling against parents, but it was refreshing to see a female protagonist take control, something I haven't seen in a while.

The storyline is super interesting and creative, at least in my point of view. There obviously have been mermaid forbidden love stories, but this one like I said before throws in a new underwater creature: Selkies!! Have I mentioned how much I love them? Anyway, the whole "overthrow" mer-government for own selfish reasons is new at least to me so I definitely liked that. I don't remember Mr. Evil Merman's name, but I do remember that he has the same mind controlling power (spoiler) as Eviana which is why he sought her out in the first place. Honestly, you go Eviana for kicking Mr. Evil Merman's butt with your awesome skills, I really enjoyed that scene.

Among the romance and action, there's also this deep tie of unconditional love and friendship. Before Eviana ran away with Brendan, she was betrothed to Kain, the next-in-line to a mer-clan. Kain is another amazing guy who understands that Eviana might never love him because of Brendan, but is willing to marry her anyway because he loves her. That's some serious unconditional love right there. Even after he's betrayed when she runs away, he still shows of love and dedication to her. To be completely honest, they would make a great couple, but I'm glad that he has found someone else for the time being.

While at a royal mer-folk next-in-line ceremony thing, Eviana makes some new mer-friends who play a crucial role in the story. Carissa and Daniel are pretty prime examples of what good friends should be. Carissa is a bit cold, but I absolutely love her as a character. She picks up the pieces of Kain's heart when Eviana betrays him and when Kain shows his obvious still there affection for her friend she doesn't throw one of those annoying girl fits. She's calm and cool. Daniel was beaten and hauled around because of his connection of Eviana, but that doesn't change his loyalty to her. He's super supportive and just amazing.

So I finished it relatively quickly in about a day or so. I would recommend this as a light read as I did enjoy it, but it didn't make any lasting impact on me. Would I pick up the next book? I might, because this book did end on a relatively sad note. So yeah, go check it out.

One last thing, note for Eviana: Chin up beautiful! Things will get better!! <3

Top Tuesday: January 2014 Want-To-Read

Hello everyone! Welcome to the second post of my Monthly Want To Read series! If you haven't checked out last month's you can check it out here. Anyway, I have a total of 45 books on my January 2014 shelf on Goodreads so it's going to be quite a challenge to pick my top ten. Wish me luck and let's get into the list!!

Again, they are in no particular order! :)

17689281
I found this book through a review and I thought it sounded really interesting...yeah...also love the title.

17836528
Gothic genre? Love love love! When I heard of this book, I knew I had to make it part of my shelves! I can't wait to finally pick it up. And can we please talk about how beautiful the cover is!!

Confessions of an Angry Girl
13515025
Anger is such an intense emotion that often isn't handled correctly. Wow, do I sound wise in that sentence. Anyway, I just thought this book sounded really interesting. :)

Cruel Beauty
15839984
I have heard a ton of amazing things about this book so of course, I added it to my list.

Uninvited
13645645
I think I've ranted and raved about this book enough on the blog last month so I'll spare you all.

Forgotten
9415951
I have really bad short term memory loss and my life is already hectic as it is. To have every single day of your life erased at a specific time? Scary and wickedly awesome. Found this book through a UK vs. US book cover post.

Running Barefoot
17412065
I'm obsessed with Amy Harmon's newest book: A Different Blue so I am stocking my shelves with her other books! I can't wait to read all of them, but I couldn't add all the book in this list so I picked one and stuck it on. Kidding, this one stood out to be the most because it has a somewhat similar idea to Blue. Somewhat...XD

Beauty's Daughter
17165943
Like I've mentioned before, I love mythology. The story of Hermoine and Helen of Troy? I am in!

Skipping Stones
18074023
Pretty cover and interesting story line. I love the beginning sentence to the blurb: "They say there are five stages of grief: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance." The whole idea of the story sounded really intrigiuing: how to deal with grief and move towards acceptance.

Lost Without You
17833280
I couldn't find an Amazon link (sorry), but aside from that, this sounds super interesting and a bit similar with Beautiful Disaster in the sense that it's a college romance. I hope I didn't offend anyone with that sentence, but I like the whole idea of secrets and the past catching up with you.

And an extra one? I couldn't choose sorry >.<
Just Breathe
17886627
Cheated. Sorry, but I couldn't choose between this book and the one before. There are a ton of really great reviews on Goodreads that applaud the book for it's spunky lead female character which I always love in a book.

That is my list! I cheated an added an eleventh book because I couldn't choose between Lost Without You and Just Breathe. So hope you guys don't mind. :) So that is it! If you guys have read any of the books I listed please let me know your comments down below!

A Different Blue

ISBN: 1482658143
Pages: 454
Appearance:
17443673

Summary:
Blue Echohawk doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know her real name or when she was born. Abandoned at two and raised by a drifter, she didn't attend school until she was ten years old. At nineteen, when most kids her age are attending college or moving on with life, she is just a senior in high school. With no mother, no father, no faith, and no future, Blue Echohawk is a difficult student, to say the least. Tough, hard and overtly sexy, she is the complete opposite of the young British teacher who decides he is up for the challenge, and takes the troublemaker under his wing.
This is the story of a nobody who becomes somebody. It is the story of an unlikely friendship, where hope fosters healing and redemption becomes love. But falling in love can be hard when you don't know who you are. Falling in love with someone who knows exactly who they are and exactly why they can't love you back might be impossible.

Omgawd, omgawd, omgawd! Can we all just stand up, jump around, and scream at how freaking amazing this book is? I finished this book a while book and it just blew my mind that I knew I had to post the review on a significant day. What better way to conclude the first month of 2014 than with this review? Perfect. So without further ado, let's go!

I. Love. Blue. I don't think I can make it any clearer than I already have. She is an amazingly crafted character and I just can't explain how much I love her. She's super tough and badass but beneath that rough exterior is a girl who's lost, broken, and looking for love. When she first walked into Wilson's class I was so excited for everything. I knew from the summary that he was the teacher who took her under his wing, but I didn't expect for him to be so hot. Like not only in looks but his personality is just too perfect.

Wilson. Guys can't get any more perfect than this. He's almost too perfect. A new teacher fresh out of college, smart enough to graduate high school at age 15 is hit with a problem. Dealing with a rebellious girl named Blue. I can't believe just how patient he is with her! Check below for the quotes and look at the second one, then the third, then the fifth. He urges her to look deep within herself because everyone has a story to tell. He takes all the broken pieces of her and pieced them back together, even if the pieces cut and hurt him.

Okay, pause for a second. I'm not saying that I support teacher student relationships. I'm kinda freaked out by them to be honest. But my defense for this book is that a) Blue graduated before they fell in love and b) They are only 1 year apart. Those two facts contain some spoilers but not a lot. Yes, they do fall in love which has got to be the cutest thing ever! Throughout the entire book, Blue feels a connection toward Wilson. He's always there, always supporting, but every time she wants it to become more, he moves away. This man has some integrity. Even though Blue isn't his student anymore, he still feels that a relationship wouldn't be the best for her. Screw what he wants (whispers: HER), only the best for her. I was seriously in need of oxygen every time Wilson was around Blue. The chemistry they had was like radiating out of my Nook and into the air around me. Blue pulling the recliner underneath the vent so she could hear him play, his history lessons influencing her, e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g!!

I can't look at history the same way after reading this. Wilson has this passion for literature, passion for stories that it's hard to think history was ever boring after. He paints vivid images of historical battles, brave heroes and heroines, and makes the boring textbook history seem alive. His interpretation of Emily Dickinson's poem: I'm A Nobody was amazing, just amazing (quote 3). I can't, I just can't.

The ending couldn't be more perfect. Blue finds out about her heritage, she finds who she is. She is Blue Echohawk, she is a somebody.

The whole lesson, moral, concept of the story was truly beautiful. I loved the story, I loved the characters and I am so stocking up more Amy Harmon books soon! Super duper highly recommend it! You won't regret it!
