The summary sounds really cool and the cover's so pretty! Don't judge, I know I'm not the only out there who is influenced to read by a cover! (and title...)
It just sounds like a very captivating story and takes a more "modern" writing twist on H.G. Wells's classic: The Island of Dr. Moreau which honestly I haven't read, but I really want to now!
One of my BIGGGG obsession for the longest time has been Celtic mythology. I'm still obsessed to this day and this trilogy (The Danaan Trilogy) focuses on that. Of course I'm hooked!
I found out about this book through Giselle who blogs at Xpresso Reads. Her review of this story was amazing and really hooked me in. On top of that, another book blogger I follow: Nikki from Fiction Freak also recommended it. So of course I had to give it a try!
This book really captured my attention because for one, it revolves around one of my favorite sayings: A picture is worth a thousand words.
It also focuses on how one mistake can change an entire person's life and just how stupid, crazy, and sometimes fake, high school society is.
If you've been following for a while, I think it's evident (?) that I love murder/suspense stories. I came across The Glass Man on one of Goodreads' lists and the summary, cover, everything just caught my attention. Sadly, it's recommended for 18+ so I'm a bit underaged, but once I hit the mark, I am definitely picking this up!
First of all, this cover is gorgeous. I can't get over how beautiful is looks. Secondly, it talks about angels and I'm kind of addicted to angel books/stories. I've also heard a lot of great things about Suzanne Young's other book: The Program so I'm really eager to try something by her.
Another obsession of mine is ghosts. I loooove ghost stories! The line that hooked me in from the summary: Can there truly be love after death? The cover is also so freaking beautiful that I just can't. It's too pretty for my head to handle.
Like I said before, I looove Celtic mythology. What I forgot to say is that I love mythology in general. Native American is definitely a favorite and Shifting revolves around a Navajo legend which is awesome and amazing and I'm hooked. Also, the cover is sooooo cool!
Yup, another mythology centered story. This one's Greek so at least it's different. I have this crazy fascination with Medusa, I just think she's so cool. I watch too many Clash of Titans and Percy Jackson. (That movie wasn't the best, but hey, Medusa!) It also includes a bit of the 13th Zodiac which has always interested me.
Okay, so that was my Top 10 books of December 2013 that I want to read. I think I might do this every month granted I keep adding monthly to-read shelves on Goodreads which I definitely think I will. I hope you guys enjoyed this post and if you've read any of these books PLEASE let me know what you thought down below! That's it, I'll see you guys on my next post! Byeeee~
