Hello everyone and Happy New Year! So I'm already two posts in and I wasn't planning on doing a resolutions but it was the Top Ten Tuesday topic so I thought I'd just quickly list some goals I have for this blog in the upcoming year. I don't think I'll make it to ten but it's the effort over the year that counts~
1. Have a regular blogging schedule
I don't necessarily want to post more but I want to be able to blog consistently. In 2015 I had a bunch of highs and lows where one month I'd be blogging like crazy and the next month I wouldn't have any urge to type out a post. With the new year, I'm currently on a high and I'm hoping it stays that way. This year will mark four years of blogging and I've grown to really love it. I want to be able to expand more and be able to maintain that same excitement without any lows, at least not a ton of them.
2. Be more interactive
This was a goal last year but I didn't really do much. Other than replying to the occasional comments and commenting on blogs and BookTube channels once every three hundred years, I rarely connect with people on the internet. This kind of defeats the purpose of having a blog and being part of a community...Anyway, I'm hoping now that I'm attempting to blog more and maintaining a YouTube channel, I'll be more active.
3. Being myself
To expand on my first goal, sometimes I feel like I'm churning out posts and I'm not really excited about them. To be fair, I don't post that much compared to other blogs but sometimes I still feel like blogging is a chore. Last year I started doing some nail art posts and I want to continue that as well as incorporate more posts that allow me to express myself in more ways than just through books. Something that goes with this is I want to be able to review without feeling bad. Sometimes I won't write a bad review because I don't want to offend anyone, or I'll keep my reviews very neutral. I want to be able to freely say what I feel if that means including gifs, asdflkjsgs (that is now a word), and little random bouts of silliness.
4. Find a new obsession
So obviously I love books and reading, that's the whole point of this blog. However, recently I've been feeling like I'm lacking something in the excitement department. Books still make me super happy, but lately Claudia has been all over Kpop and Kdrama and it's been making me think. The last time I have openly fangirled hard over something was BBC Merlin and that was...two years ago. I've been feeling super pumped about Shadowhunters and the Shannara Chronicles TV shows that are airing soon so I'm hoping to dive more into TV shows. School doesn't matter....right?
5. Make amazing memories
This one is also a given. It's my senior year of high school, I'm starting college in the fall, and I'm going to be spending the summer with my best friends traveling. It is literally going to be an amazing year but I want to be able to document it through posts, vlogs, anything really. I just want this year to be amazing! Sorry if that's too cheesy
So I only have five big resolutions but I think they are pretty big so we'll leave it at that.
Let me know your bookish or non-bookish resolutions in the comments below!
Foreverly Obsessed,
