Reading Challenges for 2015

Hello everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR! I'm sorry I didn't post anything at the start of the year but I had limited internet access for the past couple of days. No worries, I'm back home and wifi here is strong! There have been so many cool reading challenges going around and I thought maybe I could give them a try. Last year, the only challenge I participated in was the Goodreads challenge so this year, I've decided to add a couple of new challenges to my list of goals.

1. Goodreads Challenge
I have to start off with the one and only Goodreads Challenge. My goal is the same as it has always been: 100 books. If I get to 100 books, I'll increase my goal by 25 until the end of the year.

2. 2015 TBR Reading Challenge
I'm a little bit late with the sign ups for this challenge, but it doesn't close until January 16th, so I'm still good! This is hosted by Evie Bookish, a blog that I have followed for the past 3 years. The goal for this challenge is to read as many books from your TBR shelf (NOT 2015 releases) as possible. The challenge includes several levels:
1-10: A Firm Handshake
11-20: A Friendly Kiss
21-30: First Kiss
31-40: Sweet Summer Fling
41-50: Could This Be Love?
50+ : Married with Children
I want to be ambitious and say 50+ but with the reality of school, I'm going to be a bit more safe and aim for 25 books (First Kiss). Maybe I'll go above?

3. Fairytale Retelling Challenge
The Daily Prophecy
This is a challenge I just found out about around 10 minutes before I started this post. It's hosted by The Daily Prophecy and the goal is to read as many fairytale retellings as possible. Sounds awesome right?
This challenge includes 6 different levels:
Prince Charming: 1 – 4 books.
Magic mirror: 5 - 9 books.
Big bad wolf: 10 – 15 books.
The wise princess: 16 – 20 books.
Wicked fairy Godmother: 21 – 25 books.
Bluebeard: you are killing it! 26+ books.
Okay, this one is a bit harder because I don't read a lot of fairytale retellings in general so I'm going to aim for Level 2 with 5-9 books (Magic Mirror). The only retelling I know that is to be published this year is Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge so I'll definitely be picking that one up!

So those are the challenges I'm prepping for this year! Let me know what challenges you're participating in and if you're going to be doing any of these challenges let me know so we can cheer each other on! Thanks so much for reading and I'll talk to you guys later~

Foreverly Obsessed,

  1. I'm also participating in the TBR pile challenge. If you ever need any recommendations for fairytale retellings, shoot me a message somewhere on the social media! :) I have more than enough titles you should try ;)
