Top 10 Tuesday: Hyped Books I've Never Read

Hello everyone! It's been so long since I've done a Top 10 and I was going through my blog feed when I stumbled across the topic for today: Hyped Books I've Never Read. That got me thinking about some books I've heard everyone talk about, but I haven't picked up yet for various reasons which brings me to this list:

Okay before you go ahead and hate me for the rest of my life let me explain. I grew up surrounded by the Harry Potter books and movies, but for some reason I never got around to reading the books. My parents introduced me to fantasy through Tolkien and CS Lewis instead of JK Rowling. While I definitely want to read the books one day, I pretty much know what happens since it's difficult to avoid spoilers. The bottom line is - I want to read them, but it's hard for me to pick them if I already know what happens so it's on my TBR just not high.

I've heard so many amazing things about this book all over BookTube and I keep telling myself that I need to read it. One day...

Sadly, the only Neil Gaiman book I've read is the Graveyard Book which I thought was fantastic. I've been meaning to pick this up for ages, but haven't yet...

This is another TBR shame for me as I loved the Percy Jackson series. After finishing the series, I sort of moved on and never circled back to it. Gotta remedy that soon!

I have no excuses for this other than I'm scared I'm gonna bawl my eyes out...

Again, I've heard amazing things - the one that's keeping me back is the genre (science fiction and aliens) which doesn't usually interest me, but the buzz has definitely caught my attention.

I have no reason for why I haven't read this trilogy yet...>.<

I just really need to read a Morgan Matson book...

I kind of want to wait till more books are out which is why I haven't read it yet, but I'm dying to start!

This is another genre (dystopian) that I don't read much of, but I really need to start because it just sounds amazing and the reviews are super high!

So that's my list! Let me know in the comments what books you need to read that are super popular on the blogosphere and BookTube!

Foreverly Obsessed,

  1. Great list! Despite the spoilers, it's definitely worth reading the Harry Potter books! They're very well written and just fantastic in general!
